How To: Master the "Lampshading" Trend

Lampshading

[lamp-sheyd-ing]

Apparently what you call wearing an oversized t-shirt that covers up your Nike shorts (norts), making you look like a lamp shade. It’s how your cousin in college says, “I woke up like this.”

I know, I know - looking like a lampshade doesn't exactly sound attractive, but the latest trend among the Kardashian-Jenner Klan is much more chic than the name let's on. It's no surprise that Kate Moss was the first to start the trend way back in 2013. While it has taken the rest of the world a good few years to catch up with the style icon, it's definitely been worth the wait.

If you've been trying to figure out how to style your thigh high boots, this is the perfect look for you. All you need is an oversized sweater and your "norts"...just incase it isn't that oversized.
Check out some of my favourite lampshading looks, worn by celebs and yours truly.

Top Trend: The Hair Tuck

It's often quite difficult to stay warm without sacrificing your style. Sometimes you just want to stay in bed in a onesie  and binge watch Netflix ("How to Make a Murderer", anyone?).
With the weather in Ireland getting increasingly cold, I've decided to introduce you to a clever trick: the "hair tuck". This high fashion hair style is a great way to stay cosy as it makes you layer up, while also giving you an excuse to wear a turtleneck...again.
The secret to pulling off this look is to keep it looking effortless, but not too lazy. Pull a few loose strands out at the front to add some movement, and make sure you style it with a high neck top or scarf, finishing it off with a jacket resting on your shoulders.
Have a look at the pictures below to get some outfit inspiration, so you can stay cosy and chic all winter.

Who? What? Where? - The AMAs 2015

This year's American Music Awards, hosted in Los Angeles by Jennifer Lopez, was certainly a night to remember. The show took place on Sunday the 22nd November and, as always, showcased some stunning red carpet looks. The main event,  however, was a moving tribute to Paris, introduced by Jared Leto and performed by Celion Dion. Singing "Hymne à l'Amour" by Édith Piaf, the talented singer moved the audience to tears. Watch the beautiful performance above, and keep scrolling to have a look at some of my favourite looks from the night.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is, undoubtedly, one of the most highly anticipated fashion shows every year. This year, there was even more hype around the show than usual thanks to the likes of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid strutting the runway...because Candice Swanepoel just wasn't enough.

I don't know about you, but there's nothing I like more than to snuggle up on the couch with my besties, in a comfy pair of PINK tracksuit bottoms while watching the VS Fashion Show. A lot of comfort eating usually ensues, considering the goddesses kind of make you want to never leave the gym...ever.

This year the show was hosted in New York, unlike last years show which was held in London for the first time. Lily Aldridge wore the coveted Fantasy Bra. It was only worth $2 million, no big deal. Most of my bras cost the same.

With performances from Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding and my favourite, The Weeknd, this years show was not one to miss. For those of us poor unfortunates who couldn't see it live, the full VS Fashion Show will be aired on the 8th December in the US, and the following day in the UK and Ireland on 4Music. Only 15 days away. Not that we're counting.

For a sneak peak, check out some of my favourite looks from the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015 below.
